Matica’s cross-border tours: presentation of the collection at the Slovenian Home of the KPD “Bazovica”

On Tuesday, May 20, a pleasant and content-rich presentation of the collection Slovenian Media in Hungary and Croatia Then and Now was held at the Slovenian House of the Communist Party of Slovenia “Bazovica” in Rijeka. The book was presented and discussed by Dr. Aleš Gabrič, president of the Slovene Matica, and co-author Dr. Barbara Riman, head of the Rijeka unit of the Institute for Ethnic Issues. The presentation also included a discussion of the challenges facing the Slovenian community in Croatia, with a special emphasis on minority media and the presence of the Slovenian minority in the majority (Croatian and Slovenian) media.
