{"id":8501,"date":"2025-10-02T09:10:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-02T09:10:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inv.si\/?post_type=events&#038;p=8501"},"modified":"2026-03-06T09:12:51","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T09:12:51","slug":"presentation-of-the-book-by-robert-devetak-phd","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/events\/presentation-of-the-book-by-robert-devetak-phd\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation of the book by Robert Devetak, PhD"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<div id=\"content-text-block-block_32d1bcbaea480353d6138991a875a431\" class=\"block-content-text-block\">\r\n    <p><p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify\">On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the conference room of the Institute for Ethnic Issues hosted the presentation of Robert Devetak, PhD&#8217;s new book entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/inv.si\/publikacije\/in-zopet-klice-domovina-zeno-na-pomoc-zenska-dobrodelna-drustva-na-goriskem-in-gradiskem-v-obdobju-avstro-ogrske\/\"><i>And again the homeland calls women to help: Women&#8217;s charitable societies in Gorizia and Gradi\u0161ka during the Austro-Hungarian period<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The book was jointly published by Zalo\u017eni\u0161tvo tr\u017ea\u0161keg tiska and INV, and was presented by editor Martina Kafol and the author, Robert Devetak, PhD, research associate at the Institute for Ethnic Issues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify\">The publication sheds light on the activities of women&#8217;s charitable societies of various ethnicities in the Gorizia and Gradi\u0161ka regions, where organized charity played an important role in the inclusion of women in the public sphere during the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
