{"id":8528,"date":"2025-03-27T09:21:17","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T09:21:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inv.si\/?post_type=events&#038;p=8528"},"modified":"2026-03-06T09:13:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T09:13:10","slug":"citizens-debate-within-the-framework-of-the-legitimult-project-izola-isola","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/events\/citizens-debate-within-the-framework-of-the-legitimult-project-izola-isola\/","title":{"rendered":"Citizens debate within the framework of the LEGITIMULT project, Izola\/Isola"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<div id=\"content-text-block-block_fc8dcfa9e0c3e33f3e7e87a57843881b\" class=\"block-content-text-block\">\r\n    <p><p class=\"s4\" style=\"text-align: justify\">As part of the international Horizon Europe research project on legitimate crisis management at all levels of decision-making (LEGITIMULT &#8211; Legitimate Crisis Governance in Multilevel Systems), the Institute for Ethnic Issues, in cooperation with the Municipality of Izola\/Isola, organized and conducted a <span class=\"s3\">citizens&#8217; assembly<\/span><span class=\"s3\">on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Manzioli Palace in Izola\/Isola. <\/span>At the event, we discussed with the participants the experiences, thoughts and assessments of crisis management, various crisis measures, their effects and consequences during the Covid-19 pandemic at the state, regional and municipal levels. We were interested in citizens&#8217; opinions on the justification, proportionality, effectiveness, legality and legitimacy of crisis management and measures, as well as thoughts and suggestions on how crisis management and measures could be improved in the future.
