On Wednesday, March 11 2026, the conference room of the Institute for Ethnic Issues hosted a screening of the Slovene<\/strong> documentary film “New Classmates<\/a>“<\/strong>. The film discusses the challenges of integrating children with Albanian as their mother tongue into the Slovene school system, while raising a host of questions related primarily to education, employment, and the (non)acceptance of immigrants and their descendants.<\/p>\n

The screening was followed by a conversation with director and co-screenwriter<\/em> Toni Cahunek<\/strong> and co-screenwriter<\/em> Lea Cahunek<\/strong>. The conversation was moderated by Janez Pirc, PhD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n
