The Slovenian community in Rijeka and Croatia<\/em> was visited on April 13, 2026<\/strong> by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Nata\u0161a Pirc Musar<\/strong>. The Institute for Ethnic Studies, Rijeka branch, was one of the organizers of this important event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The visit began at the Slovenian House of the KPD Bazovica<\/a>, where staff members of the Institute for Ethnic Studies, Rijeka Unit, had the opportunity to present their work. The President then met with Croatian President Zoran Milanovi\u0107<\/em> at the Pe\u0107ine Elementary School<\/a>. They were joined by the mayor of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County<\/a> Ivica Lukanovi\u0107<\/em>, the mayor City of Rijeka<\/a> Dr. Iva Rin\u010di\u0107<\/em>, and at the First Croatian High School in Su\u0161ak<\/a> the rector of University of Rijeka<\/a> Prof. Dr. Goran Hauser<\/em> and the principal of the high school<\/a> Dina Lini\u0107 U\u010dur<\/em> as well as other distinguished guests.<\/p>\n
