It has been published by the\u00a0<strong>Institute for Ethnic Studies<\/strong>\u00a0in Ljubljana since 1960 as the specialised journal for ethnic issues, publishing articles by Slovenian and foreign experts. Two issues of the journal are published every year, usually in June and December.<\/p>\n<p>The journal will publish high-quality articles in the field of ethnic and minority studies, especially on\u00a0<strong>racial and ethnic relations, ethnic identity, nationalism, xenophobia, the protection of (ethnic, national, linguistic, religious, and other) minorities, migration, discrimination, citizenship, multiculturalism<\/strong>\u00a0and related subjects. The journal is particularly &#8211; but not exclusively &#8211; interested in discussions exploring issues regarding the so-called\u00a0<strong>Alpine-Adriatic-Pannonian<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>area<\/strong>, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>present-day\u00a0<strong>and historical perspectives on ethnic and minority issues<\/strong>\u00a0in this region;<\/li>\n<li><strong>comparative studies<\/strong>\u00a0that include \u2013 only partially or as a whole \u2013 this geographic area;<\/li>\n<li>issues of migration,\u00a0<strong>integration<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>intercultural relations<\/strong>\u00a0in this region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More specifically, this area includes the following countries:\u00a0<strong>Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany<\/strong>\u00a0(especially the southern part),\u00a0<strong>Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Slovenia<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong>Macedonia<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Bulgaria<\/strong>\u00a0may also be interesting cases. The data must be prepared according to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nExceptions to open access to research data<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nIf data cannot be fully shared for legal, ethical or other valid reasons, the authors must provide justification \u2013 for example, in cases involving the protection of personal data (see the EU General Data Protection Regulation), material containing trade secrets or other commercially sensitive information regulated by legislation, or data involving security risks.
