The analysis included <strong>16 teachers<\/strong> who teach Slovenian in supplementary classes, under Model C, in Vara\u017edin County, and in courses organized by Slovenian cultural associations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The results show that teachers face numerous challenges in their work, most notably a lack of qualified staff, organizational difficulties, and teaching in heterogeneous groups with varying ages and levels of prior knowledge. As a result, teaching requires a high degree of adaptability, flexibility, and the use of diverse, often interactive, didactic approaches.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Another major challenge is the lack of appropriate teaching materials specifically tailored to Croatian speakers. Teachers therefore frequently combine existing resources and develop their own materials. Mutual cooperation among teachers and the exchange of materials also play an important role.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The implementation of teaching was significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a shift to remote learning, reduced direct contact with students, and made it more difficult to attract new participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Despite these challenges, the teaching of Slovenian plays an important role in preserving the language and culture in Croatia and shows potential for further development. However, its long-term success depends on a stable teaching workforce, the development of appropriate teaching materials, and strengthened systemic and institutional support.<\/p>\n<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n<div id=\"content-text-block-block_848e5e4f5524979d9a65e6af6a0548ce\" class=\"block-content-text-block\">\r\n    <p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"width: 35%\" src=\"https:\/\/inv.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/MVZI-logotip.png\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\r\n<\/div>","protected":false},"featured_media":6821,"template":"","project-categories":[59],"class_list":["post-9520","projects","type-projects","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","project-categories-research-projects"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/9520","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/6821"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=9520"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"project-categories","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/inv.si\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project-categories?post=9520"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
