VANEK \u0160IFTAR \u2013 SLOVENIAN ROMOLOGIST<\/a> (<\/i><\/strong><strong><i>supplemented edition)<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Today (2025), almost fifteen years after the first edition of the collection, we can see how Vanek&#8217;s thoughts on culture, language, history, and the actual situation of the Roma are still relevant. Given this, it is not surprising that the first edition of the collection attracted a great deal of interest and that the stock of copies of the monograph is almost sold out. We have therefore decided to reissue it with some additions and updates, so that the <strong>&#8220;new&#8221; version<\/strong> comprises three content sections. We have added a first, introductory section, which includes a foreword by the editor, a contribution by two former presidents of the Republic of Slovenia\u2014Milan Ku\u010dan and Danilo T\u00fcrk\u2014and a joint foreword by the publishers of the collection, <em>Knjigi (monografiji) na pot \u2013 zakaj nova, dopolnjena izdaja? <\/em>, a text by the Romologist from the Roma community, Jo\u017eek Horvat Muca, entitled <em>Vanek \u0160iftar \u2013 Romologist and Friend of the Roma<\/em>, and a contribution by Dr. Mitja \u017dagar <em>Memories of working and being friends with Dr. Vanek \u0160iftar and our contribution to the constitutional regulation of the rights and status of the Roma community and its members in the Republic of Slovenia<\/em>.
