Vara\u017edin is mentioned in only a few places in this context. This article presents for the first time the identities of 167 individuals who, as a guarantee of safety, were granted citizenship rights in the area of the City of Vara\u017edin between November 13, 1941, and June 13, 1942. These were both individuals and entire families, as evidenced by the list in the appendix.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">An analysis of the data shows that most of the Slovenians who were granted security guarantees came from Vara\u017edin or its surroundings and were employed in various public and private services or companies. The exact period of residence is also indicated for each person.
