On Saturday, 26 September 2026, a presentation of Dr Anja Moric’s monograph Slovene Germans. Diaspora, Identities and Inter-community Relations. Dr Marjeta Pisk spoke with the author.
The discussion shed light on the history and present-day situation of the German-speaking population in Slovenia, particularly the Kočevars, their migration, identity processes, remembrance of the past and the preservation of cultural heritage in Slovenia and the diaspora.
The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the significance of Kočevar heritage in the present day. We would like to thank the organisers and all participants for the pleasant discussion and the interest shown.
