Professional Worker in Research Activities
Dr. Neža Hlebanja received her doctorate from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana in the interdisciplinary doctoral program Humanities and Social Sciences, American Studies. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana in the Department of History.
As part of her doctoral work, she researched emigration from the Slovenian ethnic territory to Brazil and the history of the Slovenian immigrant community in that country. She received an award for her outstanding contribution at the 22nd award ceremony of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians Abroad and Around the World.
Dr. Neža Hlebanja has complemented her theoretical background with extensive experience in research, education, and project management. At the Institute for Ethnic Studies, she is responsible for the field of open science.
