CULREM: Inclusive culture of remembrance and cross-border cooperation in the field of education and performing arts

The CULREM project addresses common territorial challenges of the program, focusing on improving knowledge and establishing contacts with the aim of cooperation in the field of education. As part of the project, partners will use puppetry and theater performances to introduce children, young people, and adults to the shared history of Austrian Carinthia and Slovenia in a playful and informal way. This will promote a unifying view of the border and the shared supraregional living space. Both performances will present scientifically and pedagogically designed topics in a creative and humorous way, prepared especially for this project on both sides of the border. The content of the performances will be designed to encourage participants to think long-term about coexistence in the border area and their shared present and future, with an emphasis on new shared constructions of an inclusive past that has long divided the inhabitants of this area.
