The manuscript is certainly a textbook example of how monographs on small minority cultural and educational associations in Croatia should be written. Riman managed to “piece together” the entire story of SKD Snežnik from the minimal information she had at her disposal and very modest newspaper articles from Sopot, Lovranska priloga, Lovranski list, Kažipot, and Novi odmev. (…) It is not easy to gather information from various sources that only mention individual events in passing, and it is even more difficult to shape this into a meaningful whole that is interesting not only to the members of the association or Slovenians in Croatia, but also to the wider public, especially the inhabitants of the Opatija Riviera, Primorsko-Goranska and Istria counties.
