A team of researchers from INV participated in a professional meeting entitled Language Policy Challenges of Slovenian Communities in Neighboring Countries of the Republic of Slovenia.
The event was organized by the Fran Ramovš Institute of the Slovenian Language at ZRC SAZU and the Slovenian Research Institute (SLORI).
The event was intended to present the research project Second Comprehensive Language Policy Research on the Needs of Language Users in the Republic of Slovenia and Users of Slovenian in Neighboring Countries and Around the World (ISJFR ZRC SAZU).
The second part was devoted to a round table discussion on the language policy challenges and needs of Slovenian communities in neighboring countries of the Republic of Slovenia prior to the preparation of a new Resolution on the National Program for Language Policy. The discussion, moderated by Dr. Sonja Novak Lukanovič (INV), was attended by Dr. Matejka Grgič (UL FF SLORI – Slovenian community in Italy), Mag. Martina Piko Rustja (SNIUJ – Slovenian community in Austria), Andrea Kovács (ZSM – Slovenian community in Hungary) and Dr. Barbara Riman (INV – Slovenian community in Croatia).
