Dr. Neža Hlebanja was a guest on the Radio Ognjišče program Slovenians Around the World on February 23, 2025. The topic of discussion was the immigration of Slovenians to Brazil, the history of the Slovenian immigrant community in Brazil, and their influence on local society and the role of Slovenian immigrants in Brazil. Among other things, Dr. Hlebanja presented some of the findings from her award-winning doctoral thesis. Her scientific monograph Selected Chapters of the Slovenian Immigrant Community in Brazilljenske skupnosti v Braziliji was also recently published. She explained why she chose this field of research, how her work progressed, and what surprised and excited her most during her research. She also spoke about the centenary of the Institute for Ethnic Studies, where she works.
