INV Rijeka, in cooperation with the Slovenian House Bazovica and the Rijeka City Library, has created a program entitled Days of Slovenian Culture at the Rijeka City Library. The aim is to mark the month of culture and further raise awareness among the residents of Rijeka about Slovenian culture in Croatia. The days will take place between February 10 and February 13, 2026.
Program:
February 10, 2026 – Information day for future students in Slovenia, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
February 11, 2026 – Lecture by Dr. Barbara Riman: Povijest slovenskog (samo)organiziranja u Rijeci i okolici / History of Slovenian (self-)organization in Rijeka and its surroundings, at 6 p.m.
February 12, 2026 – Lecture by Dr. Klemen Lah: Zapisana slobodi: feministički glas Zofke Kveder u slovenskoj i europskoj književnosti / Written Freedom: The Feminist Voice of Zofka Kveder in Slovenian and European Literature, at 6 p.m.

February 13, 2026 – Stribor Children’s Department: A Fairytale Encounter with Čukec Nukec / A Fairytale Encounter with Čukec Nukec (2025) by author Helena Janežič, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
