Janez Pirc, PhD at the conference on the Importance of strengthening identity and preserving heritage in the Roma community [Pomen krepitve identitete in ohranjanja dediščine v romski skupnosti]

Janez Pirc, PhD participated in the national conference on the Importance of strengthening identity and preserving heritage in the Roma community. The conference took place on 14 April 2026 at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum, organized by the Slovene Ethnographic Museum, the Government Office for National Minorities and the Roma Academic Club. At the event, Dr. Pirc presented the paper “Inclusion and success of Roma students in primary school in Slovenia: trends and ways forward”.

The paper was co-authored with Romana Bešter, PhD and was based on research within the framework of research project Inclusion and success of Roma girls in primary school education.
