Support and Development of Slovenian Language Instruction in Croatia – Consultation 2020
In 2020, as part of the project supporting and developing the teaching of the Slovenian language in Croatia, a series of virtual lectures for Slovenian language teachers was organized, replacing the traditional in-person meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The program was also expanded to include teachers from other European countries, further strengthening international cooperation.
The lectures covered key areas of teaching, such as phonetics and speech, grammar, language-specific features, and encouraging reading among young people. They were delivered by recognized experts, and the content was designed to be directly applicable to pedagogical practice.
The evaluation showed a very high level of participant satisfaction and strong usefulness of the lectures for their work. Teachers particularly highlighted the quality of the content, the expertise of the lecturers, and the accessibility of the lectures in recorded form. At the same time, they expressed the need for more practical examples, workshops, and additional training.
