On May 5, 2026, two researchers from the Institute for Ethnic Studies, Dr. Attila Kovács and Dr. Danijel Grafenauer, attended the ceremony of the Külső Tagok Fóruma, organized by the MTA Commission for Hungarian Science Abroad, as part of the 200th General Assembly of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA).
As part of the event, awards were presented for outstanding scientific work in the diaspora (Arany János Prize and Medal 2026).
