Slovenian Minority Media in Hungary: Current Situation and Prospects (Continuation)

The project “Slovenian Minority Media in Hungary: Current Status and Prospects” continued in 2022, when we conducted additional qualitative interviews with editors of Slovenian minority media in Hungary. The interviews focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the role of minority media in preserving the language, culture, and identity of the Slovenian community in Porabje, as well as identifying the key challenges they face. Interviewees specifically highlighted challenges such as an aging population, a shortage of staff, and the need for content tailored to younger generations, all of which significantly impact the future development of minority media in a changing media landscape.
