MSCA Fellow
Noémi Nagy is MSCA/ERA Research Fellow (2024-2026) at the Institute for Ethnic Studies in Ljubljana, Slovenia, as well as Associate Professor at the Department of International Law, Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest, Hungary (since 2016). She holds a PhD in law (University of Pécs, 2016) as well as university degrees in law (University of Pécs, 2009) and psychology (University of Pécs, 2014). Her main research interests are the international protection of human rights, minority rights and language rights. She is author of 90 publications including English-language articles in high ranking academic journals and two Hungarian-language monographs (Language of Power – Power of Language: Language Legislation and Language Policy in the History of Europe; Self-Restrained Constitutional Justice – The Protection of Nationalities by the Constitutional Court of Hungary). Currently she is doing research on the Conceptualization and operationalization of minorities in the practice of UN treaty bodies (MINCOOP) and serves as Grant Awarding Coordinator of the COST Action project titled PLURILINGMEDIA.
