The Institute for Ethnic Studies cordially invites you to a national information event on the COST program, organized as part of the ROAD3P project in cooperation with the Public Agency for Science, Research and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The event will take place on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the National Museum of Slovenia on the Metelkova museum platform (conference hall on the 1st floor).
The event will present the opportunities that the COST program offers to researchers. Speakers will include Ms. Blanka Mekinda Vidmar, National Coordinator for COST, Dr. Stojan Sorčan, National Contact Point for COST, Dr. Eva Klemenčič, Member of the COST Scientific Committee, and others. This will be followed by a discussion with successful COST action applicants:
- Dr. Jana Obšteter, Agricultural Institute of Slovenia: Cost Insect-IMP – Improved Knowledge Transfer for Sustainable Insect Breeding
- Doc. Dr. Maja Ivana Smodiš Škerl, Agricultural Institute of Slovenia: BeSafeBeeHoney – BEekeeping products valorization and biomonitoring for the SAFEty of BEEs and HONEY
- Dr. Lara Sorgo, Institute for Ethnic Studies: PLURILINGMEDIA: Language Plurality in Europe’s Changing Media Sphere

The ROAD3P project – Expanding Horizons Ambitiously and Dynamically with the Support of Project Offices – was approved in the public call for proposals “Activities to Strengthen the Project Offices of Public Research Organizations.” The ROAD3P project is co-financed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
Namen projekta Razširimo Obzorja Ambiciozno in Dinamično s Podporo Projektnih Pisarn je krepiti kapacitete raziskovalnega sektorja v smislu uresničevanja zastavljenih ciljev EU ter zagotoviti večjo uspešnost Slovenije v projektnih prijavah. 6 partnerskih javno raziskovalnih organizacij v času trajanja projekta gradi na dvigu učinkovitosti dela in profesionalnih kompetenc, vpeljavi novih, optimalnejših rešitev izvajanja dela projektnih pisarn, boljšega upravljanja intelektualne lastnine in znanja, preprostejšega in manj težavnega prijavljanja na projektne razpise, s poudarkom na centraliziranih EU programih.
Projekt združuje šest slovenskih javnih raziskovalnih organizacij: Zavod za gradbeništvo Slovenije,
Inštitut za ekonomska raziskovanja, Urbanistični inštitut Republike Slovenije,
Inštitut za hidravlične raziskave, Inštitut za matematiko, fiziko in mehaniko in Inštitut za narodnostna vprašanja.
