On September 4 and 5, as part of an excursion to Porabje and Prekmurje, the Slovenian Ethnological Society (SED) in cooperation with the Association of Slovenians in Hungary prepared a professional meeting, at which the first part presented the work and programs of the Association of Slovenians in Hungary, 50 years of the SED and interesting heritage projects.
The second part focused on the presentation of the collection Vleka ploha and poroka z borom: Pustni šegi v Slovenije, Austria and na Magadsem, which was published in 2024, in the Library of the Gazette of the Slovenian Ethnological Society.
During the event, Dr. Katalin Munda Hirnök informed the participants about the results of the institute’s research in connection with Porabje, the 100th anniversary of the INV and its role in researching the Porabje Slovenes.
