On Tuesday, 13 October 2026, the grand opening of the renovated and expanded permanent exhibition at the György Dobronoki House took place in Dobrovnik/Dobronak; the exhibition has also been enhanced with new digital content. Dr Attila Kovács, a researcher at the Institute for Ethnic Studies (INV), also contributed to the expert preparation of the exhibition.
The renovation and the grand opening of the exhibition were organised by the Hungarian Self-Governing National Community of the municipality of Dobrovnik – Dobronak Község.
A broad group of experts from various fields – primarily history, ethnology and museology – from Slovenia and Hungary collaborated on the preparation of the renovated and expanded permanent exhibition.
The revamped and expanded permanent exhibition, supplemented with digital content, represents a significant achievement in the preservation and presentation of the cultural and historical heritage of Dobrovnik/Dobronak, the wider Prekmurje region and the Hungarian community in Dobrovnik/Dobronak.
