On 7 and 8 November 2024, Lara Sorgo, PhD and Noemi Nagy, PhD attended the international conference Shaping Policy for Minority Languages and Multilingualism, organized by the Mercator European Research Centre on Multilingualism and Language Learning in Leeuwarden (Netherlands).
Lara Sorgo, PhD presented the paper Language and Educational Policy in Ethnically Mixed Regions in Slovenia, in which she presented an overview of research within the framework of professional development tasks in the field of education, which were carried out in the ethnically mixed region of Slovenian Istria in the five-year period (2019–2023).
Noemi Nagy, PhD, together with Craig Willis, PhD presented the paper Current policy challenges of minority language media in the context of international law, which presented current media trends and challenges facing minority language media in the post-Covid-19 era, and examined how international law addresses these challenges.
