Mojca Medvešek, PhD and Janez Pirc, PhD participated in the conference “Serbs in Slovenia – History, Demography, Organization, Status and Rights” on October 13, 2025, which was organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (Committee for the Study of National Minorities and Human Rights) in Belgrade.
At the event, they presented papers on various aspects of the organization and functioning of the Serbian community in Slovenia – “Supplementary Serbian Language and Culture Instruction in Slovenia: Legal, Organizational, and Parental Insights” and “Serbian Non-Governmental Organizations as a “Parallel Political Channel”: Between Formal Equality of Civic Participation and Restrictions on Political Rights in Slovenia”. Representatives of both academia and the Serbian community in Slovenia participated in the consultation.
